Tonight's beer: Boulevard/Deschutes Collaboration #2 (Smokestack Series)
Bright and lemony-sitrussy, with light bready-toasty base, Ample piney-citrussy-grassy-floral bitterness. Some light and bright spice, maybe coriander, emerging toward finish, along with a touch of wheaty pepperiness.
Light-bodied, with a decent lively carbonated prickle. Not thin—decent substance. Quenching and refreshing for days. Nicely drying on a relatively quick finish.
Impressive. Not like a double white/big witbier, or a weizenbock; something unique, in my experience (the version bottled my Deschutes notwithstanding). Amasingly drinkable and graceful. Here's to more collaborations from these guys. Yummy as hell.
