Full Sail Wassail

Tonight's beer: Full Sail Wassail

Full Sail Wassail

Earthy-peaty-grassy bitterness rises to the top, steps forward, walks all over the substantial toasty-bready-caramelly malt sweetness. Some dark fruity hints in the bbackground, and a touch of roast that's more coffee than chocolate. Maybe a touch of smoke. Comples and intense and nicely integrated.

A little on the dense side and kinda sticky. Decently carbonated, though some of the prickle might be alcohol. Kinda round on the palate, but the beer finishes clean and satisfying and refreshing.

A marvelous winter beer, yummy as hell. I'm so glad Full Sail has distribution in the Mid-Atlantic now, for this beer at the very least. Sara and I first had this when she was living in Montana, and we kinda fell in love with it then. Almost scarily drinkable.
