Tonight's beer: Shipyard Pumpkinhead
Smell reveals some pale bread, and a little caramel. Some distant pumpkins and spices. Maybe a whiff of grass in the distance. Not much, overall.
Not a lot of taste, either. Some caramel and toast, a touch of pumpkin and spices, distant grassy-floral bitterness.
Light-bodied to the point of thin, with almost soda-like carbonation. Very clean and refreshing.
Probably the blandest pumpkin beer I've had. Not much to the nose, taste, or feel. It's refreshing enough, I guess, and it's very attractive in the glass, before the head vanishes.
