Tonight's beer: Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale
Dark bread, toasty, laden with caramel. Dark spices, some fruits, and earthy-grassy bitterness. Distant possibilities of peat, smoke, tobacco, leather.
Moderately light-bodied, well-carbonated. Some syrupy stickiness, but the beer finished pretty quick and clean. Almost on the edge of scrubbing. Very refreshing.
Yummy, pretty much the reason to buy the Winter Classics 12-pack, no matter how good the other beers are, or aren't. Seriously, a delicious Xmas cookie of a beer. Amazingly flavorful for 5.9% ABV. Very drinkable.
