Tonight's beer: Samuel Adams Tasman Red
Pine and citrus on top, with toast, bread, and caramel backing it up and balancing things pretty well. Some nuttiness and toffee, maybe a lick of butter. Dried/candied fruits lingering around the perimeter.
On the palate, the beer is bready, syrupy-sticky, with decent lively carbonation. Some dryness on the long and gently-lingering finish; very refreshing. Slight roundness in the middle.
A yummy American Amber/Red Ale. Intense and complex and balanced; reminds me I love hoppy Amber Ales. Lots of stuff to like here, especially given the relatively moderate 6.75% ABV. Amazingly drinkable.
