Tonight's beer: Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig
Caramel-toasty dark bread, with chocolate and maybe a lick of coffee. Dark bakng spices and caramelized fruit lurking around the perimeter. Something earthy-grassy-peaty wafts past around the finish.
Bready-medium body, decently-carbonated. Some chewiness and stickiness, especially on finish. Gently drying and surprisingly refreshing, with maybe a little gentle warmth.
A very drinkable Winter Warmer. Not as warming as some other, stronger, takes on the style, but flavorful and complex. One of my favorite winter seasonal beers. Yummy.
