Tonight's beer: Great Divide Nomad
Grassy-floral bitterness on top of white bread and crackers, with some hints of sulfur and vegetables in the background. Finishes quick and clean.
Light-bodied with lots of carbonation. Very drying, and cleansing almost to the point of being scrubbing; refreshing. Finish is so short as to be almost instantaneous.
Probably the best (non-imperial) Pilsner I've had in a long, long time. Appropriately simple and clean and direct, but packing a lot of flavor--at 5.4% ABV the flavor-to-booze ratio is very impressive. For as dry as it is, surprisingly drinkable.
