Tonight's beer: Brasserie Dupont Bière de Miel
Very dry—pale fruits on top—apples, pears, white grapes, maybe stonefruits like peaches or plums. Honey character right behind, with some warm, earthy spices tagging along. Pale bread in the background, mostly a structural element. Tha vaguest hint of something funky, way in the distance.
Astonishingly light-bodied, explosively carbonated. Very drying; clean and cleansing. Not even the gentlest touch of 8% ABV. Stunningly refreshing, and very smooth.
Holy crap, this is an awesome beer. Intense, complex, integrated, balanced; so drinkable that slurpable doesn't start to cover it. Honey character present but nowhere near dominant. Just wow.
