Butternuts Porkslap Pale Ale

Tonight's beer: Butternuts Porkslap Pale Ale

Butternuts Porkslap Pale Ale

Bread and caramel-toast, backed by grassy-floral bitterness. Maybe a trace of pale fruits and light spicing lingering in the background. Pretty dry by the finish.

Very light-bodied, moderately well-carbonated. Gently-drying and nicely refreshing.

A decently well-made beer, without a lot going on. Not that that's a shock, given the 4.3% ABV. Vaguely British, nicely drinkable and sessionable, just not a ton of intensity here, or (at first sip) complexity. Practically none of the ginger the brewery says is in the beer came through at all, to me. Overall, kinda meh, which after their hefeweizen is a pleasant surprise.
