Tonight's beer: Uinta Hop Notch
Pine, grass, citrus, and flowers on top of bread, gently-toasted, with a bit of caramel. Some juice lurking in with the malt/sweet character. Dries out almost entirely on the finish, with just a touch of cattiness.
On the light side of medium-bodied, with lots (and lots) of carbonation. Some bready-resinous stickiness, but wraps up pretty quick and clean, and immensely refreshing. For 7.5% ABV, alarmingly little in the way of alcohol presence.
A very nice IPA, pretty direct and clean for the style; as in, I've had some that were more complex. Nicely balanced and integrated, and startlingly drinkable. Another excellent beer from Uinta, the first I've had that wasn't in their Crooked Line.
