Southern Tier Hop Sun

This afternoon's beer: Southern Tier Hop Sun

Grassy bitterness on top, backed by floral-piny-citrus notes. Pale bread and crackers underneath in a structural/supporting role, with background peppery-wheat impressions. Other than a touch of sweet in the middle, dry from start to finish.

Very light-bodied, with a lot of carbonation. Clean and cleansing; drying and refreshing. Finish lingers just a bit.

Probably my favorite of the summer-seasonal pale wheat ales; extraordinarily refreshing. Lots of flavor here, but tends toward the purity and simplicity of a good Pilsner. Massively drunkable, and perfect for after (and probably during) summer activities. Yummy, and good for a sixer every year.
