Tonight's beer: Full Sail LTD 4
Pale bread, caramel, dim hints of toast; grassy-floral bitterness more than adequate to balance. Strong hints of whiskey-ish booze. Dry by the finish.
A little thick and bready/syrupy, with decent carbonation. Some distinct—if pleasant—boozy presence. Finish is pretty long, but eventually clean and surprisingly cleansing.
A pretty straightforward American pale lager, brewed to bock (or doppelbock) strength. Lots of flavor, but simple and direct. Nicely balanced and integrated; gently warming but very drinkable. Obviously strong, but quite graceful. Clearly a beer I liked enough to come back to it after a couple years. Very nice, indeed.
