Anchor Humming Ale

Tonight's beer: Anchor Humming Ale

Anchor Humming Ale

Grassy-floral bitterness with distinct traces of citrus (and maybe a lick of pine) on top, with soft pale bread, gently toasted, with a trace of caramel, behind and underneath. Traces of dried pale fruits and maybe vague spice in the background. Dries out quickly around the finish.

Pretty light-bodied, with nice carbonation. Drying and impressively refreshing. Maybe a trace of resinous stickiness; otherwise remarkably clean.

Very nice! Not as assertively hops-centered as the Liberty Ale, but plenty of flavor—balanced and integrated—and awesomely drinkable. A great beer with which to say good-bye to summer. A fine beer from +Anchor Brewing Company
