Tonight's beer: Uinta Punk'n
Lots of caramel, strong toasty-bready caracter, plenty of pumpkin thrown in. Strong piles of mostly appropriate baking spices; I get lots of ginger and nutmeg. Earthy-grassy-peaty bitterness in the background, woven in with the spices; it arises mostly toward the finish as the beer dries out.
On the light side of medium-bodied, with pretty decent carbonation. A little sticky, but finishes pretty clean and refreshing. Softly gently drying.
Pretty flavorful—intense and complex—for 4% ABV, nicely balanced and integrated. Not overwhelmingly a dessert beer, very drinkable. Another beer that captures a small slice of autumn's beauty.
