Tonight's beer: Elysian Night Owl
Caramel-toast-bread blended in with pumpkins and baking spices—mainly cinnamon and ginger, I think. Some earthy-grassy bitterness lingering around the finish. Starts out on the sweetish side, finishes a bit drier.
Bready and chewy, with decent carbonation. Some syrupy stickiness on the finish. Softly drying and surprisingly refreshing; satisfying as hell.
A very nice pumpkin ale, at least as good as Elysian's Dark of the Moon pumpkin stout. Spices and pumpkin integrated nicely with the rest of the beer; pretty complex and intense. Massively drinkable.
