Tonight's beer: Full Sail Session Black
Roasty and toasty—chocolate, coffee; dark bread, toffee, toast, caramel. Behind the roasty bitterness, earthy-grassy-floral flavors are woven in. Roasty, then a little sweet, then nicely dry and a bit bitter again.
Very light-bodied, with decent carbonation. Some soft bready stickiness. Very refreshing: drying and clean and cleansing.
A very drinkable dark lager, laden with roasty and toasty flavors. Tons of complex and intense flavor, wondrously balanced and well-integrated. Screams to go with food. Pretty clean and direct and sessionable, if that's your thing. Delicious from start to finish; beautiful in the glass as a bonus.
