Tonight's beer: Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
Citrus and pine, backed by flowers and grass. A flicker of caramel and bread adn toast. Juicy-bitter, then bready-sweet, then almost searingly dry.
Medium-bodied, with lots of lively carbonation. Some bready chewiness and resinous stickiness on the back end. Drying and refreshing; scrubbing bordering on scouring.
A supremely drinkable IPA, ladenw ith character and flavor. Seems just about as hoppy to me as it's always been. Intense and complex and integrated; unbalanced but obviously intentionally so. One of the best American IPAs; something I'll buy a six-pack of, every year. Delicious, again.
