Tonight's beer: Staropramen Premium
Grassy-floral bitterness sitting on top of gently-toasted pale bread. A bit of caramel through the middle. Dry from start to finish.
Pretty light-bodied, gently carbonated, kinda round. Softly drying and astonishingly refreshing. A dim trace of stickiness on the finish, but otherwise very clean..
Don't read too much into the sparseness of these notes: this is a superbly well-balanced, magnificently drinkable Czech lager. Lots of flavor here, but simple and direct and beautifully balanced. Really an excellent beer, and one that would obviously go well with lots of food.
