Tonight's beer: Full Sail Session Fest Lager
Toasty-bready caramel sweetness almost exactly offset by floral-grassy bitterness. Vague spiciness, distant nuts and/or toffee. A bit sweet to start, a bit dry by the end, a bit bitter in between.
On the light side of medium-bodied, with a lot of carbonation. Drying and very refreshing. A bit of bready-syrupy stickiness on the finish, but mostly clean. Cleansing.
A very drinkable—even sessionable—amber lager. Pretty straight-forward, but intense, nicely balanced, well-integrated. Goes superbly with food. Even a 12-pack isn't too much to buy of this beer (though it helped that we had people over). Delicious.
