Tonight's beer: Green Flash/St-Feuillien Friendship Brew
Dark bread, chocolate/coffee; bright spices and slightly mousy brett character woven in the background a bit. Grassy-floral bitterness present throughout. The beer is bracingly dry from start to finish. Mild pleasant funk.
Stunningly drying. Light-bodied and explosively carbonated. Very refreshing and massively drinkable. Short, clean finish, cleansing to the point of scrubbing.
Very nice. Tons of flavor for a 5.7% ABV beer; intense and complex and beautifully integrated. Amazingly drinkable. I haven't had much from either brewery, but what I've had I've liked a lot. This is exactly as good as I would have expected, given that.
