Tonight's beer: Stone Enjoy By 02.15.13
Grapefruit and pine—maybe a dash of lemon and/or orange—sprinkled with flowers and grass. There's just a trace of sweetness through tme middle, mostly white bread: just enough to make the beer something other than hop syrup.
Medium-bodied, with some decent carbonation. Resinous-syrupy stickiness. Some mild boozy warmth. Drying like a trek through the Gobi, and working toward refreshing. Scrubbing, tilting toward scouring.
It's fresh, all right. Laden with typical American hop notes of citrus and pine, but really not a lot else. Intense as hell, but unbalanced as hell, too. Drinkable enough, with minimal warning of the 9.4% ABV. My ambivalence toward Stone continues, I suppose.
