Tonight's beer: Boulevard Single-Wide
Citrussy fruit, pine; backed by flowers, grass, perfume. Caramel and softly-toasted bread in the background. Some juicy sweetness around the middle, before the beer takes a sharp turn toward the dry.
Light-bodied, massively carbonated. Quite drying and immensely refreshing. Finish is pretty quick and clean, with a touch of somehow-cleansing resinous stickiness.
Wow. It's not often that one comes across an IPA below 6% ABV that's worthwhile as an IPA; this is 5.7% and very excellent. Intense and complex, delightfully well balanced and integrated. Drinkable for days, probably sessionable if that's your bag. Delicious.
