Tonight's beer: Southern Tier Hop Sun
Floral-grassy bitterness front and center, with flickers of pine and maybe citrus. Pale bread a solid background, with wheaty peppery impressions biting around perimeter. A dimly caramelized glow in the distance. Dries out thoroughly over a long finish.
Very light-bodied and very highly-carbonated; immensely drying and refreshing. Finish is startlingly clean for a wheat beer.
Yum! This beer smells just like a brewery tour, and tastes even better. Intensely flavorful, if kinda straightforward; nicely balanced and integrated. Massively drinkable, and perfect as a summer seasonal—like some sort of a turbocharged Kölsch, maybe. One of the beers I *must* buy every year.
