Tonight's beer: Tröegs Nugget Nectar
Explosively bitter—orange, grapefruit, other citrus, melons, pine, threads of flowers and grass—with some caramel-bready-toasty sweetness hanging around, mostly through the middle. Dries out quickly and extensively into and beyond the finish.
Medium-bodied, well-carbonated. Lots of resinous stickiness, very long finish, extraordinarily drying and immensely refreshing.
One of my favorite beers, full stop. Completely delicious, with intensity and complexity for eons; amazingly well balanced and integrated; one of the most drinkable beers I've had, ever. This is one of the beers I buy whenever I see it, and miss deeply the rest of the year. Awesome.
