Tonight's beer: Uinta (Crooked Line) Birthday Suit 20
Bright fruity tartness to start—pie cherries, mostly, with some vinegar thrown in; dark bread struggles to the surface near the finish, the sweetness providing something like unto balance. Toffee and earthy impressions, a smattering of caramel on the transition to the aftertaste.
Juicy, and brightly acidic. Definitely a bit on the light-bodied side, with lots of carbonation. Quenching, and surprisingly refreshing; a bit drying around the end.
Pretty impressive. My palate is still working its way around to sour/tart beers, but this is tasty. Intense, if a bit straightforward; nicely balanced and integrated. Drinkable enough, as something to sip on a warm evening; I suspect it'd play well with seafood.
