Tonight's beer: Moa Methode
Starts with some lemony-citrus and flowers, seriously bitter. A little pale-bready/crackery sweetness moves forward around the middle. Some grassy-herbal-spicy bitterness lingers into the quick and abrupt finish.
Pretty light-bodied, maybe shading a little heavier than that. Plenty of lively, fine carbonation. Briskly clean and cleansing almost to the point of scrubbing. Very refreshing. A little gentle stickiness around the end.
This is an interesting and delicious lager, even if it doesn't really come across to me like a Pilsner (what it says on the label); it strikes me more like one of those India Pale Lagers all the cool brewers are making, all of a sudden. Intense and pretty complex; nicely integrated, if pretty much dominated by the hops. All kinds of drinkable.
