Uinta (Crooked Line) Cahoots

Tonight's beer: Uinta (Crooked Line) Cahoots

Uinta (Crooked Line) Cahoots

Starts with a blast of pithy citrus: grapefruit, mostly, but some orange; pine and flowers and hints of grass woven in. Caramel and toast, with flickers of pepper and pale bread, more in the background. Skitters along a fuzzy border between bitter and sweet most of the way, then finishes pretty dry.

Kinda thick and soft, well-carbonated; juicy to start, then some resinous stickiness. Gently drying, amazingly refreshing. Almost no warning of the 9.4% ABV. Kinda long finish.

Yum! Another exceptionally delicious beer in Uinta's Crooked Line; I haven't have a bad beer from them yet, and the Crooked Line have been pretty universally excellent. Intense as hell and surprisingly complex, nicely integrated and as balanced as a Double Rye IPA has any right to be. Drinkable for days, supple and subtle and graceful. *Extremely* impressive.
