Tonight's beer: Brash Cold Ass Honky
Lots of fruit: mostly grapefruit and orange, with some threads of lime and lemon; impressions of pears, apples, apricots, peaches. Grass and flowers and pine woven in. Some pale bready-caramel sweetness in the background. Starts juicy, evolves gradually to quite dry.
Very light-bodied, nicely carbonated. Drying, cleansing, massively refreshing. Not much hint at all of the 8.5% ABV.
An impressive beer, reminiscent of Boulevard's Tank 7: a nifty intermingling of Belgian and American styles. Intense and complex, balanced and integrated and alarmingly drinkable. Delicious from beginning to end. The first beer I've had from Brash; I'll have to seek out more.
