Tonight's beer: Ommegang Glimmerglass
Pale-bready sweetness at first, with threads of pale fruit and bright spice. Pepper and citrus woven in, with grassy-floral bitterness arising through the middle. By the finish, the beer is nicely dry.
Very light-bodied, highly-carbonated. Cleansing, drying, refreshing. Practically scrubbing.
A delicious and powerfully refreshing beer. Surprisingly intense for 5.4% ABV, and impressively complex; very well-balanced and entirely of a piece with itself. Drinkable as hell. Yet another beautiful beer from Ommegang, spring captured and bottled.
