Tonight's beer: Marble Red Ale
Lots of bitterness to start—grassy-floral, piny-sitrussy; hints of chocolatey-coffee roastiness lurking around the edges. Caramel-toasty-bready sweetness appears around the middle. Flickers of juicy fruitiness. Wraps up nicely dry.
A bit thicker than medium-bodied, softly carbonated; bready chewiness and syrupy stickiness linger through and beyond the finish. Pleasantly drying; impressively cleansing and refreshing.
A delicious American Red Ale, with lots of intense and complex flavor, wonderfully well-balanced. Drinkable as hell. Supple and graceful. Another impressive beer from the Southwest; I definitely need to get to that part of the world.
