Tonight's beer: Prairie Prairie Ale
Bright fruits—mostly lemony-citrus—with grass, earth, and funk; flowers and maybe pine and cardamom-ish spice around the edges. Some pale bread back a bit; just a touch of caramel. Bitter and funky, then a dim flicker of sweet, then funky and dry.
Light-bodied, very well-carbonated. A little coating, mostly drying and refreshing. Some flinty prickle and some tart pucker.
A delicious Bretty farmhouse ale; I *like* Bretty beers, so this is right in my wheelhouse. Not a lot of alcohol presence for 8.2% ABV; extremely drinkable. Intense as hell, as Bretty beers are wont to be, and complex, too; holds together nicely. i'd heard lots about these folks—practically all good—so I had to try this; I'm *very* impressed.
