Three Taverns White Hops

Tonight's beer: Three Taverns White Hops

Three Taverns White Hops

Musty-lemony-citrussy bitterness front and center, with bright coriander, grass, flowers, pine woven in. Pale-bready sweetness makes a brief appearance around the middle, then the beer turns hard to dry.

Medium-bodied, softly-carbonated and smooth. Drying and immensely refreshing. A little chewy, hints or bready/resinous stickiness.

Wow. This is one *impressive* white IPA. Amazingly intense and complex, more poised than balanced, drinkable as hell. I've had just the one other beer from these folks—a Belgian IPA—but both beers I've had from them have been excellent; this one is downright astonishing. Definitely a brewer to watch, and a beer to look out for.
