Silver City Liquid Sunshine

Tonight's beer: Silver City Liquid Sunshine

Silver City Liquid Sunshine

Pale fruits up-front—pears, apples, white grapes, peaches, apricots—but very dry; some bread and hints of caramel/toast making for sweetness in the interstices. Floral-grassy bitterness emerges around the middle and hangs on hard, some flickers of herbs. End up thoroughly dry. Dim hints of pale spirits (vodka, white rum) in the distance.

Medium-bodied, a bit round and soft, finely carbonated . Drying and impressively refreshing. A hint of boozy warmth, but fairly subdued for 9% ABV. Just a bit of syrupy stickiness.

A tasty and very drinkable tripel—a very convincing version, without a foot placed wrongly. Astonishingly intense and complex, nicely balanced and integrated. Obviously a beer that would play well with food. A very impressive beer, indeed; another beer I wish had better (or any, really) distribution in my neck of the woods.
