Tonight's beer: Blue Mountain Rockfish Wheat
Pale bready sweetness, densely threaded with tart bananas and other pale fruits; floral-grassy bitterness around the fringes, with hints of cloves and maybe other spices. Sweet-tart, then a little bitter, then quickly dry.
Very light-bodied, highly carbonated, smooth. Drying and refreshing as hell, clean and cleansing. Wraps up with a quick tart pucker.
A superb take on a hefeweizen, as convincing as any American version I've tried. Plenty intense and complex, especially for 5.4% ABV; balanced and integrated and massively drinkable. Blue Mountain really does knock it out of the park, consistently.
