Tonight's beer: Boulevard 80-Acre
Citrus-grassy bitterness, flecked with pine and flowers. Pale bread in the background with threads of pepper and caramel. Transitions swiftly from bitter to dry.
Light-bodied, highly carbonated. Drying and refreshing, clean and cleansing and scrubbing. Some tendencies in the direction of smooth.
A tasty and *very* drinkable American wheat ale, tilted somewhat to the hoppy (but that's entirely by design). Intense and complex, given the moderate alcohol content. A marvelously summery beer, perfect for what I expect to be the last summery day around here for a while. Unsurprisingly, another superb beer from Boulevard.
