Tonight's beer: Westbrook White Thai
Lemony-tart citrus on top of pale bread. Grassy-peppery bitterness arises almost immediate and lasts a long time. Spice emerges a bit, as the beer dries out into the finish. Almost-juicy-tart in the aftertaste.
Light-bodied, well-carbonated but still wheaty-smooth. Scrubbing, drying, astonishingly refreshing. A little juiciness, through the middle.
A delicious slightly-idiosyncratic witbier. The ingredients are a bit odd (or at least atypical), but the style is definitely recognizable. Intense and complex, nicely balanced. Drinkable as hell. Westbrook as a good reputation, and bot the beers I've had from them have been excellent.
