Tonight's beer: Sixpoint Global Warmer

Sixpoint Global Warmer

Lots of piny-citrussy bitterness to begin, with threads of grass and flowers, hints of musk and spice. Bready sweetness in the background, lightly daubed with caramel, possibilities of toast in the distance. Bitter, then a touch of sweet, then a long slide into impressively dry.

Medium-bodied, maybe a bit lighter, bready-soft and chewy with decent carbonation and a flash of resinous-syrupy stickiness on the back end. Massively drying, bracingly drying, cleansing and scrubbing.

A delicious beer, plenty intense and hoppy, but enough malt character and sweetness that it comes across as impressively balanced. Complex, nicely integrated, staggeringly drinkable.
