Beer and food!
The beer is Samuel Adams Double Pilsner, laden with grassy hops nicely balanced against pale-bready malty sweetness. The food is roasted chicken thighs (finished under the broiler) along with some pan-cooked Brussels sprouts.
The beer played nicely with the herbs in the I'd rubbed on the chicken, and with the cheese in the vinaigrette-like sauce on it; and it may have liked the very dark caramels in the Brussels sprouts even more. The food came out nicely, with the greens especially working a little better than a previous try at something similar, I thought.
Cheers!
