Tonight's beer: Tröegs Cultivator
Earthy-grassy bitterness firmly abuts pale-bready sweetness. Threads of caramel and toast, toffee and nuts, flowers and pine. Dries out a bit into the finish; tightly bittersweet throughout.
Kinda bready-soft and chewy, medium-bodied or thereabouts, nicely carbonated. Mostly clean, cleansing, refreshing; eventually scrubbing. Just a few lingering traces of stickiness.
A very delicious Helles Bock, convincingly true to style. Gloriously well-balanced and integrated, impressively intense (though probably more linear and straightforward than complex, appropriate for the style). Awesomely drinkable.
