Tonight's beer: Jailbreak Infinite
Toasty-caramel bready sweetness, hints of dried fruits; grassy-earthy bitterness back a step or three. Threads of pine, citrus, chocolate (no, really!), maybe peat and/or smoke. Dries out quickly and pretty thoroughly.
Medium-bodied, bready-soft and mildly carbonated. Kinda round, a little juicy, a bit smooth. Substantially refreshing, potently drying. Traces of stickiness, eventually cleansing and impressively refreshing.
A tasty and drinkable amber ale, lots of hooks to hang food pairings on, if one is so inclined. Reasonably intense and quite complex for 5% ABV, wonderfully integrated and balanced. It's nice to find a beer this good brewed maybe ten minutes from there I live, in in the pretty unremarkable suburbs.
