Tonight's beer: Jackelope Rompo
Bready sweetness, amply toasted and smeared with caramel. Grassy-earthy bitterness emerges quickly, comes forward, stickiness around into a pretty short finish; hints of fruit and pine flicker around the periphery. Wraps up plenty dry.
Medium-bodied; carbonation a little light but adequate. Softly chewy and a little sticky. Distinctly smooth.
A superbly drinkable beer, delicious from start to finish. Incredibly intense and complex given the 5.6% ABV, wonderfully balanced and integrated. Really good stuff; I'm glad I grabbed some when we were in Nashville. A beer that all but begs to go with food.
