Tonight's beverage: B. Nektar Black Fang
There are a lot of berries in this, enough that it kinda drowns out the honey/mead character. Cloves come along behind, maybe an impression of allspice. Dim hints of citrus in the distance. Really fruity-sweet from start to finish.
Light-bodied, thinly carbonated. Lots of syrupy-stickiness lingers for a while. A little pucker around the end. Pretty refreshing.
A pretty decent beverage, though I admit I was expecting it to be at least a little more like Zombie Killer than it is; probably my own fault for forgetting how little I like blackberries. Pretty one-dimensional, compared to beer, but nicely integrated. Drinkable enough, I guess. Probably not really for me (but quite possibly exactly to someone else's taste).
