Tonight's beer: Wiseacre Ananda
Lots of bitterness up front: grass and flowers, citrus and a little pine in the background. Pale-bready sweetness arises through the middle, with dim flickers of caramel and honey around the edges; after a moment the sweetness recedes and the beer slides smoothly to quickly and briskly dry.
Medium-bodied, decently carbonated. A little soft stickiness, but mostly clean; eventually quite drying and impressively refreshing.
A delicious IPA, a little on the light side. As is typical for beers from states which make it harder (or impossible) to brew big beers, that moderate alcohol content doesn't keep the beer from packing a lot of flavor: intense and amazingly complex. Astonishingly drinkable, practically sessionable (though I don't think this is marketed as a Session IPA). Yum.
