Tonight's beer: Aviator MadBeach
Starts with some bittersweet fruit up front—mostly orange. Grassy bitterness follows, braced against a few smears of bready sweetness. Juicy character reappears as the beer slips gradually to dryward.
Very light-bodied, with lots of carbonation. Refreshing and drying; clean and cleansing, tending toward scrubbing. Pretty smooth.
A pretty tasty American wheat ale, nicely augmented with some orange. Even if this isn't a summer seasonal (could be, I dunno) this comes across as a very summery beer. Reasonably intense (given the style and the 4.8% ABV) if a bit straightforward and linear; nicely balanced and well-integrated; drinkable as heck.
