Monday Night Fu Manbrew

Tonight's beer: Monday Night Fu Manbrew

Monday Night Fu Manbrew

Opens with a flare of ginger and grassy bitterness, backed closely by pale bread (maybe fringes of caramel and toast). Pepper and maybe baking spices around the periphery. Wraps up briskly dry.

Very light-bodied, with lots of carbonation. Smooth and a little chewy, quickly clean and drying, cleansing and refreshing.

A neat witbier—the ginger is a nifty grace note—from a brewery I've come to respect and trust, that's local to the in-laws.  Intense and complex, given the moderate alcohol content; well-integrated and balanced and delightfully drinkable. Highly recommended, though they may not distribute very widely.
