Tonight's beer: Southern Tier Hopsun
Starts with a bright splashy lash of grassy-floral bitterness; pale bread emerges a beat behind, edges with caramel and pepper and maybe a dash of spice. Rebounds quickly to briskly dry.
Very light-bodied, highly carbonated. Smooth and clean, cleansing and drying and massively refreshing.
A remarkably drinkable beer, shockingly clear for a wheat beer (a different kind of pretty, is all). Nicely balanced and well-integrated, flavor is remarkably intense and complex, given the pretty moderate ABV. Maybe a bit linear and straightforward, but that's apparently by design (and not really something to complain about). A wonderful beer to have on the first day in weeks with something like a real amount of sunshine.
