Lickinghole Creek Citra Fresh

Tonight's beer: Lickinghole Creek Citra Fresh

Lickinghole Creek Citra Fresh

Opens with a blast of mostly-citrussy bitterness: lots of lemons, oranges and limes and grapefruit along for the ride; grass and pine and flowers woven in. Pale bread appears for a moment mainly around the middle, before ducking for cover. Maybe a few flecks of caramel on the periphery. Dries out rapidly and thoroughly.

Pretty light-bodied, soft and smooth and nicely carbonated. Some bready chewiness and a bit of resinous-syrupy stickiness, then wraps up clean and cleansing, drying and refreshing.

A seriously delicious beer we picked up in Richmond (and I'm happy we did). Very much worth the pickup, a seriously impressive piece of work. Intense as hell and staggeringly complex; nicely poised and integrated. Stupidly drinkable.
