Tonight's beer: Burnt Hickory Ezekiel's Wheel
Starts out very citrussy—juicy and kinda bittersweet—with backing notes of flowers and grass and maybe pine. Pale bread and caramel through the middle with a possibility of toast o the edge. Dries out quickly and pretty thoroughly.
Medium-bodied, more or less, with a lot of carbonation. Clean and cleansing, tending toward scrubbing. Drying and *very* refreshing.
A very tasty American Pale Ale, kinda big for the style but otherwise pretty spot-on. Remarkably drinkable. Niftily balanced and wondrously well-integrated; reasonably intense and complex. I see these folks' beers around when I visit the in-laws in Georgia; I'll have to gab more, next time I'm there.
