Tonight's beer: Jailbreak Feed the Monkey
Opens with some pretty pulpy-juicy fruits: oranges and bananas, mostly, with hints of lemons and pears and apples around the edges. Some bread, then spice (mainly cloves) and pepper, earthy-grassy bitterness. Wraps up quickly and gently tart.
Mostly-juicy-pulpy and tart; on the light side of medium-bodied and nicely carbonated. Pretty clean and cleansing, rapidly drying and powerfully refreshing.
A delicious and awesomely drinkable hefeweizen, plenty convincing as to the style (even with fruit and fruit juice added). Intense and remarkably complex, poised and something like balanced, considering. Superbly well-integrated. I'm happy to buy beer from a brewery I can practically walk to.
