Tonight's beer: Parkway Majestic Mullet
Opens with some pale-bready sweetness, threads of caramel and toast and honey. Grassy-floral bitterness emerges quickly but smoothly and almost-gently. Dries out immediately and thoroughly.
Light-bodied with lots of carbonation. Crisply clean, cleansing, powerfully drying. Massively refreshing.
A tasty Kölsch, pretty spot-on the style. American brewers tend to brew these as summer beers, and it's easy to see why. This is nicely poised, something a lot like balance. Graceful and massively drinkable.
